1. Mera Naam Joker (1970):

At first, this movie was the flop movie during the first release – it was just too long, with run time over 5 hours. But again after re-editing the movie they released the compressed version, ended up as one of the most successful films of all times.

Deewaar established Bachchan as the “angry young man” of Bollywood. Yash Chopra directory this movie tells a story of two brothers struggling to survive the streets of Mumbai. Deewaar received the Filmfare Best Movie Award in addition to six other Filmfare Awards.

5. Garam Hawa (1973):

The film is about a Muslim family that decides to remain in India after the partition. This is probably one of the most sensitive films based on Indo-Pak partition on 1947. India was officially entry to the Academy Award’s Best Foreign Film category for this movie. This movie was also nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival.  This masterpiece won a National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards as well.

6. Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978):

The film was one of the top-grossing hits of entire 1970s decade.

8. Amar Prem (1973):

It's a touching love story; a beautiful portrayal of a man’s innocent love for a neighborhood courtesan. Shakti Samanta directorial movie won Film Fare Awards for Best Dialogue and Best Screenplay.

9. Nishant (1975):

10. Amar Akbar Anthony (1977):
